Tim Taylor Productions
Timtaylorproductions, an innovative and creatively diverse arts and educational production company was formed in spring 2010. Artist, teacher, writer and director – Tim Taylor, a student in the Performance Innovations 2010 intake, established the company so as to facilitate the making of high quality arts and educational products and services.
Having worked in the performing arts since the mid 80s across a broad range of performing contexts including contemporary dance, straight drama, comedy sketch and improvisation writing and performance, musical theatre, opera ballet and singing recital, as well as in the fields of arts and commercial choreography, Tim has developed a rich amalgamation of insight and practical know-how that informs his ability to make astute creative decisions.
Since 2000, he has gained teacher status, completing a PGCE in Adult and Community Education at the Institute in Education in 2003 and a Level 4 Certificate in ESOL Specialism at London Southbank (LLU+) in 2007. Since 2008 he has been developing an approach to teaching and theatre making that draws on all the strands of his experience in such a way as to facilitate the making of unique and inspirational creative products and services.

As part of the Performance Innovations Tim had the opportunity to develop his performance and making skills but also had the chance through The Placement module to plan and deliver a Re-flexion, a four day language and performing arts-focused workshop for adult English speakers of other languages, exploring combined arts (prose-poetry, voice, movement and music) and language learning tasks together with Reflect ESOL tools. This innovative pilot workshop programme took place at Praxis: the Place for People Displaced in August 2010.
During the course Tim also set up a reflective blog and started to actively use Twitter to make connections.
